The Altec Valencia 846A isn’t just a speaker—it’s a time machine straight to the golden age of hi-fi. Introduced in 1966, these 15-inch, horn-loaded monsters were designed to bring concert-level sound into your living room. And boy, did they deliver. Think of them as the muscle cars of vintage hi-fi—big, bold, and unapologetically old-school. If you’ve ever wanted to know what a proper, full-bodied, effortless sound system feels like, this is it. 

This pair has been completely refinished, restored and upgraded. They're magnificent.

• 3.9uF Clarity Cap PUR 250V series cap on the compression driver
• 10.5uF Clarity Cap CSA 250V shunt cap on the woofer
• 3.5mH air core inductors
• Dayton Audio 16 ohm L-pads
• Jupiter tinned copper wire with lacquered cotton insulation for hookup
• New fretwork grilles with crimson cloth
• Cardas solid copper terminals
• Cabinets completely sanded out and refinished
