











Custom / Technics SL-1200 MK2 // Direct Drive Turntable / KAB & Aural Audiophile Upgrades
The Technics SL1200MK2 turntable has been the DJ's goto deck for almost 50 years - turned audiophile treasure, blending iconic durability with pitch-perfect accuracy. It's the turntable that refuses to quit, offering a listening experience that's as reliable as it is rhythmically precise, proving why it's remained a cult favorite decades on. We took this custom restoration all the way. It's now more than just a treasure, it's an audiophile's dream table.
- Rewired the tonearm with silver litz wire
- Installed the KAB TD-1200 Tonearm fluid damping system
- Lubricated the tonearm mechanism
- Replaced 18 capacitors on main board
- Replaced Q202 & Q203 transistors
- Replaced 33/45 indicator LED resistor
- Cleaned all controls thoroughly
- Adjusted brake
- Installed the KAB PS1200GXL external linear power supply to reduce noise, vibration, and EMI. (quieter background and more stable imaging)
- Circumvented the internal power supply
- Installed the KAB DC1200 internal voltage regulator to improve regulation and reduce noise
- Installed the KAB SX1200 strobe on/off switch to reduces noise interference
- Installed the KAB Delrin-AF Thrust plate Kit and wax mod
- Installed the KAB PC-1200 external RCA and ground post plate
- Installed a new slider plate
- Buffed the dust cover
- Custom built (in -house) walnut plinth skirt ($499 value)
- Cork Mat ($120 value)
- New Hana SH high output moving coil cartridge ($750 value)
- Orsonic AV-101b headshell ($200 value)
- Kimber TAK-AG phono cable ($1400 value)
- Over 30 hours of labor in restoration and upgrades
